Join European Head Coach Jo Spindler in Leysin, Switzerland for a 6 day camp that will provide you with personalised coaching suited to Olympic distance through to long course athletes. You’ll get individual advice on swim, bike and run while applying Trisutto.com training methods to improve your performance.

You will get the opportunity to train alongside Jo's professional athletes, which you will directly benefit from their tips, experience and seeing how they train. All sessions will be tailored to your own performance and goals, with individual advice to ensure you get the most from the camp.

There is an emphasis on learning, with seminars on training approach, nutrition, equipment and competition.

This camp will be run in German & English.
During the camp you will get individual advice on swim, bike and run techniques, while applying the Trisutto training methods to improve your performance. No two camps are the same but a typical camp will include 18-22 hours of training across all three disciplines.

Aspects that are covered during the camp are:
  • Training philosophy – learn Trisutto principles of periodisation, the training mix, psychology + physiology, athlete development and the use of races within these considerations.
  • Swim training – techniques for the individual athlete, use of swim tools, stroke correction.
  • Bike training – positioning, technique for the individual athlete, bicycle and component selection, skills, tools.
  • Run training – technique for the individual athlete, shoe choice, use of run tools (hills, track, treadmill, road).
  • Triathlon – integration of swim, bike and run into the one training approach.
  • Stretching – massage, warm up and warm downs.
  • Injuries – prevention, treatment, athlete mentality and training around or through them.
  • Race execution – strategy for the individual athlete and season goals.

Usually, we meet at 07:45 am at the pool for a swim session.
Following the swim, and depending on weather, we will either a cycling or run session (or both). Between, or after session, we will then meet to discuss training relevant topics.

Cycling: Whether you take your time trial or road bike in the mountains, it is up to you. On the time trial bike, it is always a competition-specific training. Much more important, however, is the right gear ratio - otherwise, it will be tough on the mountains. Even strong cyclists should bring a gear ratio of 39/28. If you have a bike time of 6 hours in an Ironman, then we recommend a compact crank.
Swimming: We swim in a heated 25m indoor pool. Please bring Pull buoy and Paddles with you.
Running: We run on the track, on good tar or gravel roads. Technically savvy runners can also do challenging trail runs in the Swiss Alps.
Location and Accommodation
Leysin, Switzerland
Leysin is the perfect place to get really fit. "Oxygene des Alpes" is the motto of the 1200-1600m above sea level, a mountain resort. The panorama with the Rhone plain embedded in Mont Blanc, Dents du Midi and Diablerets is breathtaking.
The only training that is flat here are the swim sessions in the morning. The mountains while running and cycling make you strong and make every hill in the race seem like a no-brainer. The place is high and warm enough for an additional altitude training effect.

Leysin is a winter ski resort and therefore there is a wide choice of hotels, apartments and chalets:  www.aigle-leysin-lesmosses.ch .
Our professionals are always housed in apartments. If you're interested in an apartment with cooking facilities, you can contact LPM's Noémie Isenschmied, who will be very happy to help you find a place to stay.
Whats included?

Jo has been extremely supportive over the last year, and has kept me motivated after coming back from a disappointing and demotivating injury after the world champs in 2017. Pleased to say that his training has helped me qualify yet again for the world champs in 2018. Thank you Jo, stellar coaching!

Jo has helped me develop into a consistent, motivated long distance athlete.  Under his coaching I achieved 2 x 70.3 podiums, a World Champs Qualification and good results in my first 2 Full IM races.  Last 2 years I have ranked top 1% globally under the AWA program.  The method and philosophy Jo uses were perfectly suited to my training and racing.  A great coach!!
