Join Torden Multisport Head Coach Carson Christen over the Easter holidays in Costa Teguise, Lanzarote for a 6 day camp that will provide you with personalised coaching suited to Olympic distance through to long course athletes. You’ll get individual advice on swim, bike and run while applying training methods to improve your performance.

All sessions will be tailored to your own performance and goals, with individual advice to ensure you get the most from the camp. 

There is an emphasis on learning, with seminars on training approach, nutrition, equipment and competition.

Camp Agenda

During the camp you will get individual advice on swim, bike and run techniques, while applying the Trisutto training methods to improve your performance. No two camps are the same but a typical camp will include 18-22 hours of training across all three disciplines.

Aspects that are covered during the camp are:
  • Training philosophy – learn Trisutto principles of periodisation, the training mix, psychology + physiology, athlete development and the use of races within these considerations.
  • Swim training – techniques for the individual athlete, use of swim tools, stroke correction.
  • Bike training – positioning, technique for the individual athlete, bicycle and component selection, skills, tools.
  • Run training – technique for the individual athlete, shoe choice, use of run tools (hills, track, treadmill, road).
  • Triathlon – integration of swim, bike and run into the one training approach.
  • Stretching – massage, warm up and warm downs.
  • Injuries – prevention, treatment, athlete mentality and training around or through them.
  • Race execution – strategy for the individual athlete and season goals. 

Usually, the mornings will start with a pre-breakfast workout (often Swim)
Following the swim, and depending on weather, we will either d a cycling or run session (or both). Between, or after session, we will then meet to discuss training relevant topics.

Cycling: Whether you take your time trial or road bike to the camp, it is up to you. On the time trial bike, it is always a competition-specific training. Much more important, however, is the right gear ratio - otherwise it will be tough on the mountains. 
Swimming: We swim in a heated 25m outdoor pool. Please bring Pull Buoy and Paddles with you. 
Running: We will run on both pavement along the coast and a dirt road loop near the resort for tempo/hills.

Avg 19deg, highs of 24 and lows of 16. Can be quite windy, but generally low rainfall.

Papagayo Bike (On-site) + The Bike Station (Near-by)

  • Driving - Taxi’s are available, the Resort is 15km from the airport. 
  • Transfers - Regular Sands Beach Resort shuttle buses run to and from the airport.

After a deep search all roads end up with Trisutto Training , and after a brief conversation with Robbie he advise me to join Carson Athletes group, and for me this is the BEST recommendation, communication which i find THE KEY with your coach is excellent and on top of that the approach to transfer our conversations into a plan. The Trisutto training method is the best. It's simple, straightforward and effective. Carson is very responsive and friendly, definitely knows his stuff. Despite not having raced yet, I feel the improvements in my fitness week after week.

Very nice person.   I had trouble maintaining the schedule due to my busy lifestyle, but Christen was very understanding & responsive.   He is very knowledgeable and I have only heard good things from others here in the fitness mecca of the world- Boulder, CO.  I will pick up training with him again if my schedule permits!

Carson hat mich im Oktober 2018 erstmals gecoacht. Ich schätze ihn sehr, sowohl als Typ, als auch als Coach.
Das individuelle und abwechslungsreiche Training hat mir wahnsinnig viel Spaß gemacht und ich habe mich insbesondere beim Schwimmen bereits nach den ersten Wochen verbessert.
Leider zwingt mich ein schwerer Rennrad-Unfall seit Anfang November eine Pause einzulegen. Sobald ich wieder fit bin, werde ich das Coaching mit Carson definitiv wieder aufnehmen.
