Coach Natalia Grigoreva

Moscow, Russia
I love triathlon and everything about it. With a background in mountaineering and rock climbing, I took up triathlon in 2015, starting from scratch — I had to learn how to swim and how to ride a bike. That’s why I understand firsthand the learning curve and challenges Age Group athletes face when entering the sport.

Description
In 2019, I suffered a stroke that left me unable to walk, move my left arm properly, or see clearly. My recovery journey and life after stroke is shared here: read more.
Since then:
-
Completed 6 x IRONMAN races and qualified for the IRONMAN World Championship in Kona by winning my F40–44 Age Group.
-
In 2024, won the overall female category at the full-distance "Bronze Horseman 226" in Russia. In 2023, I also won the Big Moscow Triathlon (70.3), placed on the overall podium at “Bronze Horseman 226”, was second overall at Ironstar Sochi 226, and took 2nd place overall at Timerman Kazan 113.
-
In 2025, at age 45, I placed 3rd overall at the Sochi duathlon.
-
I am a regular AG podium finisher across all distances in triathlon events throughout Russia.
My personal athlete journey naturally led me to coaching. In 2021, I became a Trisutto Certified Coach.
I also hold a Professional Fitness Trainer certificate from the Fitness Professional Association (FPA), one of Russia’s leading education platforms in the fitness industry.
I have completed education at Rocket Science Sports Academy as a certified run coach, and I am also certified in sports psychology. Additionally, I hold qualifications in massage therapy and Mulligan Manual Therapy in Sports, certified by the Danish International Academy of Manual Therapy & Sports Medicine.
I continue to learn and improve — both as an athlete and a coach. For me, triathlon is a way of life, and it’s here to stay.
I work with athletes both face-to-face and online.
Since recovering from my stroke, I’ve been a proud member of the #GunningForKona team, where together with Coach Alexander Mitrokhin, we train athletes from around the world for triathlons, open water swims, and running events of all distances.
I’m proud to be part of the Trisutto coaching team.
Why do you work with Trisutto?
No matter how many new endurance training methods or “revolutionary” systems I encounter — if it really works, I always discover that Brett Sutton already said it years ago.
