Big news for our Spanish speaking family!
We are proud to announce that starting in November, the most successful South American female athlete in Olympic Triathlon, Barbara Riveros, is joining our international team of coaches. It has been our intention for some time to add another Spanish speaking coach.
After her fourth Olympic Games in Tokyo last year, 'Pepper' as we know her, commenced her studies of the Trisutto coaching certification course, with the view of becoming a professional coach. During this training period, Barb has worked within our age group squad at our camps broadening her knowledge and coaching experience.
During Barbara's long and glittering career, spanning close to 20 years she has experienced various different coaching philosophies. This has helped to contrast and understand the Trisutto methodology.
Barb has not retired from racing. She is now training for long distance with the goal of qualifying for Kona in 2023. With this goal Barb will limit the number of athletes she coaches to five. I believe Barb will be a fantastic coach for our Spanish speaking community. She is also making plans to hold a triathlon training camp in South America in early 2023.
It is a great pleasure to welcome Coach 'Pepper' to our coaching staff, I view it as a great coup for Trisutto!
Coach Barb
"Throughout my professional career I have found that my performances have had a much larger impact beyond just for myself. Rather than being a singular pursuit of a selfish goal, I have come to realise the positive impact that I can generate for others; it can be like a wave, or butterfly effect and can change others lives also.
Using my life's experiences to both help people and to leave a legacy is something that fuels me and makes me feel alive! So I would like to give back the best way possible, with passion, caring and always looking for excellence."
